8 Ingredient Savory Chili

If you are like me, anything that taste good using less is a win! I love using recipe secrets to bring ordinary recipes to life.

My chili recipe is no different. This recipe is quick in preparation and is savory tasting that I am sure you and your family will love.


1 lb. of ground beef (or turkey)

1 can of red beans

1 can of black beans

1/2 can of beef broth

1 can of petite diced tomatoes

1 chili seasoning packet (I get original, but you can use whatever spice packet you wish_

1/2 packet of onion soup mix

1/4 packet of brown gravy mix

Sprinkle of salt


Your choice of cheese

Sour cream


  1. Brown your ground beef (or turkey) in a large pot on medium high and separate ground meat into little crumbles

  2. As your choice of meat is almost well done, add the onion soup mix to the meat and stir it in. Keep browning meat until fat is almost absorbed

  3. Once the fat is absorbed, add the tomatoes, red beans, black beans and beef broth to the pot and allow to bubble, stir the ingredients well

  4. Then add the chili seasoning packet as it's bubbling and stir in

  5. Next, shake in 1/2 of the brown gravy packet and stir until well mixed. Allow the combination to cook a little while longer ~ 5-10 minutes approximately

  6. Sprinkle a little salt to the mixture as you turn the eye of the stove off. Stir well.

  7. When you serve the chili warm, add your cheese and then a dollop of sour cream (optional) and enjoy!

This recipe makes about 4 servings
